OUR VISION FOR LARVIK HARBOR
Fritzøe Eiendom commissioned NIELSTORP+ to study the possibilities for Larvik harbor front without a dividing railway line. This animation presents a vision of beautiful Larvik with a vibrant seafront optimized for social interaction and use of the natural landscape and the open views.
The newspaper Østlandsposten published an article about this project:, here is a clip from the article:

"It is Fritzøe Eiendom that has asked for Niels Torp's recommendations for Larvik's seafront without a railway.
- We have hired Niels Torp to provide some clear visions and thoughts for what we should be aware of when choosing a railway. To show the possibilities that exist in Indre havn. What is important to achieve good urban development there? says Linda Brathagen at Fritzøe Eiendom.
The experienced architect puts difficult illustrations on the table. This time he has focused on what he calls Larvik's silver lining, namely the harbor area from Langestrand to Tollerodden.
- Larvik has two curved coastlines; one in Indre havn and one at Farriseidet - with a river in between. It is completely unique. Now the new road project has destroyed the arch at Farris, and it would be completely insane to do the same at the lake. By adding an "iron river" of rails and concrete to a large, wide bridge that kills all contact between the city and the sea."
